Have you ever taken a good look at your pet’s toenails? If you have you probably noticed that they are more complex than ours. Besides having a nail shell you will notice that they have a kwick, which is a hard material that protects the blood supply and nerves. They also have the meat which is the sensitive area between the shell and the kwick.
